What to Expect at our Jackson Office

Welcome to the new patient center for Integrity Health & Wellness!

We understand that arriving at a new office for the first time can be nerve racking, especially if you've never experienced chiropractic. You may not know what to expect when you come into our office for the first time. Filling out paperwork, learning new faces, and getting to know your way around the office can be an overwhelming experience.

Your initial chiropractic visit

When you arrive for your initial chiropractic visit, you should have filled out your new patient intake forms prior to seeing the doctor, so they can get to know you and really understand your needs and goals. Your doctor will take a set of x-rays in order to assess your spine, joints, and surrounding tissue as well as performing a posture analysis using the Posture Screen software. We will also perform an advanced Surface Electromyography (EMG) nerve study which measures the electrical activity of the paraspinal muscles along your spinal column. This test is similar to an EKG for your heart and an EEG for your brain where they are measuring the electrical activity of those organs and structures. After analyzing your exam findings and assuming the doctor does not find any contraindications (reason to not adjust you) to providing you with an adjustment that day, he will begin your care with you. The doctor will go over some information with you prior to releasing you for the day, and you will schedule your follow-up Report of Findings visit to go over your x-rays and other testing with the doctor. You will also be presented with his recommendation for care that is specific to your condition and/or goals before receiving your second adjustment. Should you choose to become a patient in our office, you can contact us to schedule your first visit. We will then provide you with a link to access our Patient Portal where you can complete your new patient intake forms prior to your scheduled appointment. This allows you to avoid the hassle of downloading and printing out a pile of paperwork which saves you time and money. You can then enter your information at your convenience when you have time without having to stress about finishing right away because you can save everything and pick up right where you left off if you aren't able to complete your intake forms in one setting.
